I bought a set of Focal RCX-165s, intending to put them in the rear deck, but I'm wondering if they'd be better in the doors. I have the 9 speaker setup, and as anyone with it knows, when you fade to the back, there is almost no sound. I'm wondering if it's the speakers or the signal the DSP is sending there. I suspect the latter and if I'm right, replacing those speakers won't help much, and yes, I've already flattened the EQ with Forscan. Has anyone replaced ONLY the rear deck speakers? Did it help?

If replacing is your only option, then replacing the door speakers is the way to go. There are many reasons why this would be the better route.

Agree. If you can do one or the other, do the doors. I did mine and hardly notice the rear speakers anymore, which isn't saying much.
