One of the local club members had his 350R wheels stripped and then cleared. They came out beautiful. You would never known they had paint covering that carbon fiber weave.
The Fender looks repairable, but speaking from experience those fenders are thin. I had my right fender fixed, but when they remounted it to the body it tore at the front. According to body shop Ford told them only 40-50% of the fenders stay in one piece when remounted on the car.
That rocker...
The Track Attack is a marketing tool. Almost all the owners have never done on the race track and 95-99% of the cars will never see the track, its gives the owners a little taste of what the car can do in a controlled place. Its a shame that a car built for the track never gets driven in its...
More impressive than Sabine driving a fast car fast around the ring, was her driving a slow car extremely fast on the ring. For example the famous drive in a diesel Ford van -
The performance potential is what got me back into a Mustang. I was orginally looking at a PP2 then adding the SC kit. The issue was when I was done it was more $$ than a GT350. Sure it had more power, but in the end the value will drop like any Mustang, SC or not. I decided for less money a...
May I ask why avoid Tasca? I have lots of other car brands and Tasca for over the last 10 years have been very help getting my parts for my Volvo, Dodge, Fiat, and Ford at competitive prices.
Most local dealers are not willing nor interested to price match. I could drive an hour to a dealer that would, but I eat up any saving in my time and gas trying to save money. When you order on-line be prepared for $80-100 in shipping the part to you. Its a light part that comes in a long box...
Trying to make the best of an bad situation, my son got a keep a damaged right fender off my GT350. We are going to hang it off the wall and put up some small shelves with GT350 and Shelby related items.
Every auto maker will deny powertrain warranty claims with a aftermarket tune. The manufacture approves or denies warranty work, not the dealer. On performance models the dealer/manufacture looks over the car more closely. Don't think its just Ford, but every car maker is looking at warranty...
Fastest and cheapest option is a used motor. The 2.3 Ecoboost was used in more than the Mustang, so widen your search for one of the other models that has the 2.3 Ecoboost. A built engine would be the best option as you could put better forged pistons and forged rods plus do some performance...
Ford does not offer a spare for any of the Mustang/Shelby models with the Brembo brakes. I recently bought the Automotive Authority spare kit recently as it hit road debris that cut the right front tire 1x3 inches, so no pump was going to fix this. Called my roadside assistance and waited 6...
The stock GT350 has a 295/35 front tire and a 305/35 rear tire. The did this staggered tire combo to increase the understeer of the car. When it was time to replace the tires I put 305/35 all around. Then I installed a rear GT305R sway bar. The car has much less understeer and it more neutral.
6th Gear is an economy gear, so the car cannot get back into the power band to reach max torque or HP depending on over coming the aero drag. If 6th gear was something different, the top speed should increase.
I think the internet has blown this out of proportion. Ford has been good about replacing motors under warranty as long as they are not tuned or modified. I bought the Ford ESP plan to cover me for 8 years as I am keeping my GT350. The Gen2 motors on 19+ seem to have some upgrades, but they...
But this kit uses the stock lug nuts. So in order to facilitate this requirement of their kit, they are using thick wheel spacers. It would seem easier if they included 5 open ended lug nuts for use with their spare tire, so only the smaller 1 inch spacer for the front is required.
