If one uses an impact correctly it can be used to remove the lugs. Short, quick burst will not damage the lug, The same method firing a gun, 3 maybe 4 will do it, and allow a free spin-off.

Hammering the lug distorts the cover. Going back on low pressure, shot burst to sung, torque to spec to finish.

Rotate the tires every oil change. Factory lugs doing just fine.

Just use a properly sized socket and you will be fine. Your choice in lug nuts is your choice, I use the OEM on the street because I like to preserve OEM as much as possible.
AS Tom advises, use the right socket!! Many people will use a multi-toothed generic socket with disastrous results. Use a good quality "6 sided", deep well socket and you will be fine. Remember the torque requirement for the GT350 and 350R lugs is 150 pound feet.

Project 6GR rims (personally have the Seven) require 19mm socket instead of standard 21mm, pretty common for many aftermarket rims. That being said the non-marring lug nut sockets are readily available in 19mm. Keep in mind, I have no idea what the CF rim lugs need for torque but the P6GR rim lugs need 105ft/lbs of torque instead of the standard 148ft/lbs (for stock rims).

Again...these won't work on 6G wheels. T's lug's have the factory (and somewhat industry standard) 60° seat. One of a handful of reasons I wouldn't want 6G wheels.
Ah ok. Good Info. Thanks for correcting me

Same here. I have the black Ford ones on mine with no issues and I like how it still has the OEM look. The Gorillas though are smaller in shape and look better on the wheel...plus they have the locking nuts.

Ha Ha! Nope! It has 6 flat surfaces that match the 6 flat surfaces on the factory lug nut! Hence, it's a 6 point socket. At least that's what it says on the manufacturer's packet! It's a 21 mm socket.
Yup, the one you dont want to is a 12 pt
