Removing factory waves in the body!

Every car I get I go over it with a fine tooth comb..........and a florescent light.....LOL.......and then schedule an appt. with my PDR guy to float the factory waves out of the body. Makes for a flawless aesthetic appeal, especially after a complete detail and application of Polish Angel.

Today was that day. I bought my 50th Anniversary pony last Saturday and parked it. Drove it to my PDR guy to work his majic. ABSOLUTELY NO HOLES DRILLED in my car body panels at all.

The guy told me "I can tell you take care of your cars, nobody removes all the stuff for me to get to the area to work on but you!"

He said "this car is so straight I can't even charge you".

tipped him for floating a few waves out and drove away with this---->

Now gotta rewash this thing because of all the DUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:frusty:


Anybody else do this to there new car??:shrug:

Floating factory waves? Is he using hammers, etc to get our minor imperfections within the aluminum and sheet metal?

Been a show car guy forever and was amazed by the quality, paint, finish, and body fits of our car! Equal, easy, to the 2012 BMW6 we sold to get this one!!! The dealership did an awesome job at detailing! Then I took it home, clay bar, wax, polish and voila....incredible results! I have a local Hot Rod Shop that does all my paint, bodywork on my Hot Rods and asked if he could cut the car , polish it and make it look any better....he said, "no...you would be wasting your money!!" Great guy!

Ford may have started out with a bad product but by the time they got to our build they'd nailed it!!

Be very careful ....... There is simply put, only microns of clear coat, so it's easy to burn thru!! VERY. EASY !!! Trust me on that one? My guy did some work on a 50th Anniversary LE #725 and he got thru the clear immediately in one spot!!
