i think coyote was pi until 2018 and op's car is 2019.The question is, why is there so much buildup on your valves? I've never seen them so dirty on a PI car, that's usually what I see when I take apart Audi engines that are purely DI.
A Coyote intake valve should be squeaky clean.
i ve seen 3gen coyote valve pictures before at this forum. they were similar to op's pictures
This vid shows the difference between a gen1 ecoboost (di only) with 100k miles and a gen2 ecoboost (di/pi) with 125k miles. The difference is drastic. The gen2 with dual fuel cuts the deposits at least in half, if not more.
For some reason, your coyote looks more like the gen1 ecoboost with 100k miles. If this is normal for all gen3+ coyotes, we've got a big problem and nobody's talking about it.
8800 miles on the motor. The car has lived on E85 for over 5 years, with the exception of about 10 tanks of 93 during that time.Guess I'll ask... how many miles are you at, how was it used (was it mainly a car used for wot blasts or was it ever used in a DD capacity where it would have seen plenty of low-load and idle times for PI to do it's work), and were you using top tier fuels exclusively?
They have both PI and DI starting in 2018i think coyote was pi until 2018 and op's car is 2019.
You didn't say where you were getting fuel. Top tier stations exclusively? Just trying to gauge, not prod at ya.8800 miles on the motor. The car has lived on E85 for over 5 years, with the exception of about 10 tanks of 93 during that time.
The car is not a daily driver and has been driven primarily in the city and on the highway. Lots of 1/4 mile hits at the drag strip as well.
