Just wondering if anyone who got a Mag ride equipped PP1 car was able or is aware if it's possible to buy the PP2 springs/sways and then have the electronics reprogrammed?

Specifically curious as I'd be interested in getting a 10AT PP1 car and then swapping wheels/tires/springs/shocks and tracking it.

I love track days but it would be my main driver and the traffic is rough near me and the 10 speed is so great.

Just curious if anyone has heard anything regarding this.

In that case try starting off with

Lighter wheels
Stiffer swaybars
Springs for the magneride
Cradle lockout
Vertical links
Lighter rotors

I don't think Ford will release any mapping for the shocks. Maybe aftermarket ones will be available but most likely voiding the warranty of the shocks

Doubt you'd ever be able to get the PP2 calibration. There are tuning tools out there for adjusting the Magneride though.

IMO, PP1 + BMR's Magneride springs + cradle lockout kit and send it. Awesome handling car that will ride well still.

Thanks for the info guys - Coming from the GM world (6G Camaro and had a Mag ride C6 as well) - there have been ways to get updated calibrations so I was hoping Ford would have one too.

However I know DSCSport makes a mag ride brain for the GT350 (and actually I have one on my G6 Camaro 1LE), I'd be surprised if they didn't make a Mustang GT version soon, which would solve this dilemma as it's fully tune-able.

As far as the mods suggested - Would definitely go with wider (PP2 size), hopefully lighter, wheels and stickier tires, springs and sways - Additionally I didn't know about the cradle lockout or links so that's good info to have.

I discovered I'd probably want a Torsen diff swap too (maybe eventually since I think that's a PP2-only) item.

The Torsen is standard on all PP models (Level 1 and 2).
