As ive mentioned in other recaro threads, the recaros will give you the confidence to drive the gt as it was meant to be driven....thats all

I couldn't stand the Recaro's and I'm not a big dude. The regular seats provided more than enough support for me when I get on it.

Recaro's were a 100% must have for me. I am glad I went through the effort to get a GT with them. Comfy and hold me in for my shenanigans.

are the standard seats the same shape as my CS? recaros make me want to die because I'm a bodybuilder. 195 pounds but my back is way too wide for them, I have to fold like a taco just to sit in them. I slide all over the damn place in my dads 14 with leather but mine hug me tight and I regularly get close to a G lateral, Im sure the suede helps me stick compared to leather though

I bought a manual trans base GT/PP with Recaros for a no frills performance oriented vehicle, as I'm under 6ft and 200lbs so the Recaros are not an issue fitting comfortably into them, but if I would have opted for a Premium GT/PP I would not have ordered the Recaros and stayed with the power seats.

I just got mine with Recaros and I'm a big guy 6ft3. Yes it can feel uncomfortable at first, but a few minutes in you sort of "adjust", I spent a few hours driving it yesterday and it was great. "Race seats" are supposed to be tight, tighter than these Recaros even. I am a young guy so it's possible older guys may not adjust as easily or have pain afterward with the combination of relatively tight/rough suspension and the tight seats.

I am biased though since the GT isn't my daily, I plan to track it, so I'm not even sure if the Recaros will work for me long term as they aren't THAT tight. One piece super deep buckets on a full out race car are WAY tighter than these GT Recaros. You feel like you're being swaddled, but that's what you want. Ford obviously wasn't going to go all out race seat, these Recaros are "raceish" and novelty enough to get a discussion going and attract people who want them, but not one piece and not so tight people are going to have significant buyer's remorse.

It totally depends on your build, I literally can't even drive when I sit in most real racing seats because of how wide my back is, I can hardly turn the wheel. These recaros are an awesome option for a factory car though IMO. If mine wasn't a DD and a cali special I would have considered it just because they are sweet(even though they crush my back)

I had the clothe Recaro seats in my 2013 Base GT with trackPack....loved them. Drove this car to Atlanta 5-6 times from tampa and had no problems with the seats for comfort.

I had the Leather Recaro seats in my 2014 Premium GT with TrackPack... loved them even more. Drove this car to NY and had no issues driving that far with the Recaro seats for comfort.

I have the premium heated/cooled seats in my limited Edition ONLY BECAUSE Recaro seats weren't available.

If the Recaro seats were heated that would be a plus.

I believe you, obviously there are guys with a broader/bigger build than me and that may be the case here. Height matters too. For example shoulder measurement wise I'm about 22", but I'm tall at 6'3". If i was 6ft or less I think I wouldn't fit as well. Also I think the angle at which you have the seat matters, leaning back I think will put more of your shoulders lower in the seat back, vs a more vertical position like I prefer.

The Recaros fit me just fine, although I have a small build at 6'1" 165 lbs. So glad I got them, not only do they look great, they feel good while driving...
