Funny before I saw this post, I called a dealer parts department to inquire and he said the same thing. He humored me by starting to price it out and then called me five minutes later and said, "I give up, I decided to call you when I reached $11,000." He said if he finished counting, he'd likely reach $17,000 to $20,000.Ford does not service the seat as a complete assembly. Every part (cover, pad, frame, hardware, etc would have to be ordered separately and put together and would absolutely cost a fortune.
Taking your advice, I reached out to Recaro HQ, inquiring about seats for shits and giggles. They said Ford doesn't allow them to sell the actual seats they put in the GT350, but the "Sportster GT" seat is nearly identical in build (It just doesn't say GT350 on it). Lethal Performance is one of many retailers that carries the seat, and it goes for $1,434 with the slider track. You can also order it in leather, which is a nice touch. Just thought I'd pass along in case anyone was interested.
