Reasonable Offer for a Used GT350?

As if someone is going to buy one of these cars, take the 1st to 2nd owner depreciation hit, eat the sales tax and then do better than break even.

U won't break even with the R unless you paid ADM initially. $5-6k average in taxes vs $20k adm. Hhhmmm

I don’t think the question has been asked yet, if it has, my apologies. Obviously, ADM has been discussed thoroughly and the availability of the GT350 is always in question. Dealers have been jacking up prices, but I haven’t seen too many owners putting there GT350s up for sale yet. Trust me it’s a tempting idea to sale since I got it for a hair under retail. I know there’s a demand for it and I know that I can still sale cheaper than a car with an ADM cost and still make a little cash. It’s a thought, but honestly I like the GT350 and I’m pretty sure there a stipulation under my buyers agreement that restricts me from selling the car before six months. However, I’m still curious. The GT350 is new and we don't know the value it will hold. It could be no big deal or it could be a future classic. What would be a reasonable asking price for a used 2016 GT350 (Tech Pack) car, with less than 1k miles on it? How about MSRP? Thoughts?

Jason, did you buy your GT350 because you liked the car for what it is or are you just looking to flip the car for a little extra cash?

Obviously you paid dealership admin fees along with state sales tax on the purchase of your car so how much do you really think you can sell your GT350 for as a used car? Sounds like a lot of work for little or no profit.

Why would anyone pay an ADM on a used GT350 when they can do that for a brand new GT350 and be the original titled owner?

That sounds quite reasonable but is entirely dependent on the GT500 and its potential effect on the market. The next GT500 will be on the current, state of the art chassis, will handle extremely well, and at the same time have devastating acceleration capability. This car could put a major beat down on the value of these GT350s.

You need to forget about 50 years ago. Ask the guy who bent over on an '07 GT500 or spent 90 grand on a KR about what the next, upgraded, models did for their "investments". Anyone expecting these current vehicles to hold their value or appreciate over time relative to inflation is simply playing a fools game.

*yawn*. Really getting tired of these posts, the GT350 and the GT500 (or any other FI 650hp+ car) are simply not comparable. There will be a select few who drop out of the market, but the GT350 appeals to a much different aspect of the automotive crowd.

Honestly, it was just a question and seemed like an interesting topic. Your right about sales tax and title fees. I would have to sell my car for 59k to break even to even consider letting it go, so it isn't worth the effort. Like all things, it's supply and demand. I don't plan on selling my car anytime soon, but I don't know if it's a car I plan to keep for the long term. Time will tell.

If people want to humor themselves, take a look at autotrader. There's a couple of GT350s that I've seen that won't be moving anytime soon.

Im sure it will be a beast, just most folks (at least non-traditional mustang buyers) arent purely after insane-o horsepower.

Ford has an agreement with Shelby American that Ford will not make a GT500. That is why Shelby American has a 2015/16 750hp Shelby Super Snake. So why would Ford sell a GT500 with the same HP?

Because not everyone wants to pay a premium for the shelby massaging when you can get a factory GT500 for much less with similar performance.

If there was a GT500, im guessing it would be a late MY17 or early MY18 car.

Where is the link to this agreement? Ford does not have to use the Shelby name for a GT500. Just call it a Cobra.
