Hey there my friends, I am on the brink of purchasing a very lightly used 2017 GT350R from a luxury car dealership (about 950 miles), they are asking $82,000 for it. The window sticker shows $67,845, but since it was used I was thinking about doing it for maybe $77,000.

I am pretty dead set on this car and have already put down a holding deposit (so they don't sell it). I am going to take it for a test drive tomorrow.

Let me know if my offer makes sense?

Also, keep in mind that I am trading in a 2016 Z06 for it :)

Thanks everyone

$10K ADM on a used R seems a bit high. Pretty sure you can buy new for that prettty easily.

If you already put a deposit Id say you have a little less leverage. But with that beind said that dealer has had that car already for a few weeks. I would honestly start lower...

Yeah, I think I might do $71,500 or $72,000; thoughts?

The price doesn't seem that far off for a 3rd-party dealer - they need to many money too. So $77k....I think they will take that considering they are likely ahead a bit on the trade. Not sure I'd pay ADM "and" take a bath on a trade at the same time, unless you just don't care.

edit: so what I'm saying is that I'd start lower considering the trade. It's likely still a good deal for them. Make them a serious offer and be prepared to walk if they don't take it. It's likely you'll get a call within a day.

So dont buy it in cali. Buy it out of state and have it shipped to you or go pick it up and drive it home. Why would you pay such a premium for a used car when you can get a new one for less?

Probably because he can. It is that which drives the whole market and ADM'S.

I purchased a used R out of state. You could probably find something for less, BUT!! not much more. 77K is a good number and would be surprised if they don't sell. My car had 2k miles and immaculately serviced and maintained with all pertinent documentation and a bunch of extra parts. Honestly, I have purchased cars from dealers still labeled as new with 1k miles or so. The price for the CA market does not seem to far off. Convenience however! Is a MF! And although I only traveled 1500 miles it still sucked, logistically with work and time.

The fact that a small amount will be produced in MY18, and that this is the last year, will likely sustain R values. Good luck.

As soon as the GT500 comes out, I suspect a few will be for sale... a hot sale.
