What are you all using for UV protection on the rear shelf? I've been looking on here off and on and haven't found a thread. I've already used the advice for the rear window (rain-x triangular window cleaning tool, fold down the seatbacks and put your feet in the trunk) :like::)

Thanks!

On my prior 2016 S550, never used anything on the rear deck. That car had over 36k on it before it was bought back by Ford (lemon) and the rear deck still looked new. The car was used 24/7/365 and sat out in the parking lot at work nearly 9-12 hours a day.

My replacement 2018 has almost 29k on it; it too is daily driven and sits the same. The rear deck is still perfect in it, with no fading or discoloration.

If you must apply a product, try “303 Fabric Upholstery Protectant”:

Thanks, good to know that the rear deck is pretty durable. The desert sun here can even mess up paint in just a few years, if not cared for-or under some circumstances even if. My 95 T-bird paint and interior were like new when it was rear-ended in 2007 with 111,000 miles on it. Except for the front bumper and tip of the hood where the carport didn't cover it- clearcoat had burned off. The Mustang is under a carport most days, and seldom out for more than a few hours, so by the sounds of things it should be ok.

I'll give the 303 a try anyway. I have it for the interior vinyls and plastics., didn't realize there was a fabric version. Now to make a cardboard shield to keep from spraying the back window :like:... Thanks

Window tint or louvers, I opted for the louvers......lol! They did sit in my front room for 2 months, while I tried to decide if I liked them. Once I got them on I was very happy, good fit, no noise and good visibility. They may not be everybodies cup of tea, but they do go well with cars lines.
