IDK what the book says the number of hours are. They're going to charge book hours, not actual hours. The better the mechanic, they might be able to get it done quicker, but they don't pass that savings on to you.

You have to basically disassemble the entire rear suspension on that side, do whatever you went in there to do, reassemble everything, and then align the car.

start to finish, shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours. I've done it in 1.5 hrs per side

It should take you one day if you have the tools and all your bolts decide to come off without any problems or seizing. Shops take their time and go by the book so they’re not liable for any damages. You can handle this project!

Damn bushing is making squeeking sounds. It goes away almost instantly when I put lithium Greece on it or when it rains.
Are you going to replace the bushings with spherical bearings? If so, those are going to add a considerable amount of time to the job. If you do take the RLCAs off, it would be wise to upgrade other parts like vertical links, toe links and camber arms.

I already replaced rear shocks since 1 went bad and vertical links since they went bad smh, I am debating on spherical bushings or just replace whole lower control arms.. I am more then likely getting rid of the car within the year.

Oh okay, well in that case, there’s no need to go too deep with it. Fix only what is needed.

No doubt! That’s why I recommend that anyone going that deep should upgrade any parts that they remove, with better parts. That spherical bearing upgrade can either be a bear or a monster though.

Agreed, and that's why I choose to replace everything all at once. As for the LCA bearings, I took the LCA's off the car along with the knuckle took them to a shop had them ALL pressed in within an hour, and reinstalled the arms back into the car! Saved me a TON of aggravation ain't nobody got time to di*K around with bearings without the right press.

I hope you mean 2 days before they can get the job done a car back to you and not 2 days of billed labor to you. Its not that hard to do your self just rent a ball joint press from your local parts store an press the bushing out and new one in.
