This is what I'm hoping for. My wife is 5'3 so she can move very far forward. I want her to be comfortable, however. Some of these pics make it look like no ne could sit back there.
Some of these photos are misleading.

A friend at work has a 2013 convertible and drives four of us to lunch pretty frequently. Once you are in its not that bad a place to be. I'm about 5' 11" and can sit behind another my size for a reasonable trip (15 - 20 minutes).

Rear leg room would be better if the console didn't stupidly extend all the way backward. On my '94, there's like 5-6" of room between the back of the console and the rear seats, which gives your legs a place to spread out to.

I test drove and rode in the back of a 2014 and must say that the console extending all the way backward is the most annoying part of riding back there.

Thanks for the shot. Notice they only show you the convertible though. This pretty much only shows you leg room. He also has his arm out of the vehicle. Head room and arm room will be much more confined. Again I always look as the rear seat a temporary/emergency seating. Not for someone to ride in daily or on long vacation type trips.

My kids have grown up sitting in the back of Mustangs-they just like the coupe over the convertible so they can see LCD screens better

Well He's not particularly short, but I doubt I'd be happy sittung back there being 6'4". This whole thread reminds me of My Mom. She gave up her first Mustang, a Blue and Silver 73 Mach 1, because of Me, when I was about 8 years old. She traded it because I was getting too big for the back seat. When I was grown in the 80's she got anorher 73 Mach 1 and I never complained about riding in the back seat because I knew how much She Loved Her Mustangs and always felt bad She gave up her Original for Me.

Thanks again. I do remember this one. Notice how he has to lean/tilt his head to the side because he is so upright due to lack of legroom. What I'm trying to get at for the OP is not to expect there to be a lot of room back there. It will be cramped for an adult, for a younger child tolerable. If you have to haul someone around now and again for short distances it does its job. If you have someone sitting back there on a daily basis for a long daily commute or are planning on taking a 2000 mile road trip it is going to be cramped and uncomfortable. Plain and simple a Mustang isn't a 4 door sedan, people need to have realistic expectations. :)

According to the dimensions posted in the sticky section, the 2015's interior is larger in all regards excluding front seat head room. Every rear passenger dimension is greater. Rear Leg room is pretty much equal but headroom is about 1.5 inches greater.

That guy is tall in that video..Probably 6'4". In any event it still doesn't look good. He is squashed up like an accordion back there. Even if you trim a foot off of his height you head is going to be close to the ceiling and your feet really close to the seat...

An Evo may be in my future....well that sucks.

Despite all the stats saying its bigger, the interior appears about the same as the current mustang. If you want to know how rear passangers will fit, just go sit in the back of a 10-14 yourself. I've used it multiple times for 5 to 60 minute trips, but with all average height people who dont mind being a little cramped. Really Free Agent above has it right: Emergency or necessity use only, its no A8L back there.

Are you planning to have 6'4" people back there a lot? :) I personally have been in back for 30-45 minutes trips and can manage (Iam 6'2"). I guess it depends on "practical" you need a backseat for people to stretch out for longer trips.

I don't know about leg room, but it has been confirmed that you can fit two models in the trunk... :D
