Took delivery of my special ordered car today. Told them do not take plastic off or wash it. Found sealed bag in trunk with floor mats. But there were only front ones. Do they not include rears? Kinda hokey if that's the case.

Nope, but if you buy Lloyd aftermarket ones they come with the rears.

The all weather mats option from Ford also included the rear mats.

I can't even find the floor in the backseat area let alone try to throw a mat in there. Pretty sure it's there somewhere though.!

This is true! My old Mach 1 had a ton more leg room back there. It's ok. My son is gonna be 15 soon, but he has skinny legs.

New Mustangs definitely do not come with rear mats, only the plain front carpeted ones. I wondered the same thing when I took delivery last week and looked into it. Very odd that Ford can't include a set of tiny rear mats that would cost next to nothing. And what's up with not putting a Pony logo on the front mats that are included? I ordered the Mustang rubber mats, which do indeed come with rear mats ... and the Pony logo (on the front ones, anyway)!

I'm another recent buyer that was surprised there were no rear mats! Ultimately, I'd like some nicer, thicker mats, probably some kind of logo (thinking the 5.0) and like folks pointed out, you can buy with the rear mats.

Yeah, that's a _tiny_ little floor area in the rear, it's pretty much just for our 7 year old, but I figure the $20 or so difference between front only and front+ rear is still worth it.

On the upside, I did get the convertible top side covers that seems to be left out quite a bit :)

I always buy all weather mats in all of my vehicles.
I just don't understand why cars have carpet mats. It's so weird.

Bought some weathertechs for my car - came with rear mats. :) Totally worth it between the snow and my kids!

We use Weathertech in the T4R/beach/tow vehicle, great product. Everyone once in a while during a car wash I'll just pull them out and rinse them off (or use a deck brush on them). Still going strong though the logo stockers did eventually fall off (after ~6-7 years).

I care about infotainment
What's the point of rear mats for the mustang? Is anyone really going to sit back there? I feel bad for them if they are.

Yea, same. Carpeted Mats are nice until it rains.

And even then, your shoes pick up too much crud that'll deposit into the carpet. Much easier to buy a set of rubber all weather mats and just hose them down when they get dirty.

This!

When I got my Lloyd floor mats with the GT logo and seen the rear ones, I was like wth? So they're still sitting in the same box that the floor mats came from.
