Quickie here - when the car goes for PPF in a few weeks my guy says he pulls all the badges off, does the paint correction, the PPF, the ceramic and then puts all the badges back on... normal stuff...
I'm doing the "track wrap" - full front, side rockers and area behind the rear wheels.
I also asked for the rear deck lid to be done because it's the same plastic on other 550's that scratches if you just "look at it angry"...

Here's the question.

Does the snake on the rear deck lid come off or did I see some thread somewhere that says it's like a non-removable part of the rear deck lid... figured I'd ask here - my guy has done otehr GT500's - but I don't know that hes done the rear deck lid panel on them...

I like to disassemble things.
The company that makes the panel/badge for Ford "melts" them in place.

They can be removed if you're replacing another. But you have to break the original.

Guess I should confirm since folks here have smarts...

Nonissue when he says he pulls them off the front fenders right? That’s what I’m sure he’s done on the other GT500’s

My PPF guy successfully removed my badge from the rear plate and put it back on after wrapping. I got a complete car wrap. However, he did say that he would never do it again. So, it is possible, just not easy.
