When Ford first displayed the new "snake" logo, I liked it much better than the original so I ginned one up to share. The PDF is attached and this is what it looks like:

Dunk: Believe it or not, that particular project was the impetus for this new drawing. <grin> I can't take credit for the eye deer, it came from another member, JMEO. He was the one who suggested a VINYL rain tray logo. I plan to make one for each of us using vinyl colors as close as possible to the car colors.

As I have told Jaime, my biggest concern is the effect of the heat on the vinyl. I plan to put a clear overlay on it to protect the colored vinyl and hopefully, it will work. We'll see, once the cars are in our garages.

Meanwhile, I shopped a photo of an open hood with rain tray in place and superimposed the cobra on it. Here's the image....

Awesome I would love one let me know what you need and how I can help and of course how much...lol.... I have always had someone do air brush work under hood using auto paint and clear coat. I’m sure the vinyl would do ok if you clear coated it.

Dunk: I suppose I should have anticipated requests. <laughing> But just so you know, I'm an amateur vinyl cutter but with good gear and I believe the decals I produce are as good as any commercial versions. :-)

What I've told Jaime is, I want to wait until I get my vehicle so I can figure out what size decal to use based on the tray's form. Once I have that accomplished, I'll do my own decal and if it turns out as well as I hope, I'll let you and any others know about it.

I will be ordering the highest quality rolls of vinyl from Oracal but because there are quite a few possible car colors, I will need to order a coior roll for each of them. That starts to add up cost-wise pretty quickly with a single roll costing about fifty bones.

So, as of this writing, I'm thinking that I will need to charge around $30 per decal to recover my costs.

Therefive, for anyone interested, PM me and I'll start a list. I just hope I don't have to make too many as my time is the valuable asset, the money is distinctly secondary.

Awesome. Looks good. I anticipate white is going to look good on many colors and may be a popular choice. It would be mine on my performance blue with white stripes.

Opened the flood gates did you?

Well Jaime, (smiling,) let's hope not. I enjoy making the occasional decal for my own use or that of a friend but I don't want to start a second career as a vinyl cutter. <laughing>

Kent, you are the man!
Nah Jaime, just a retired, OCD pilot with free time and a wee bit of artistic talent. Plus, it's always better to give than to receive and I was pretty sure that you and I wouldn't be the only two who wanted to do this.

You are 100% accurate. I am happy to come to know people like you. This forum has introduced me to some really great people.

V: Perhaps, depending on the request. If you want the dealership logo, (assuming they have one,) point me to their website. I'm no pro designer amigo, but I'm pretty good at "tracing" an image as long as it's not too complicated.

As for the multiple snake decals, for those I would need color, (white or tray black background,) height or width and quantity for each.

PM me with this info if you're interested and include full name, mailing address, email, (and phone if you want faster comms.)

With lots of requests for this decal and accompanying questions, I put together a four-page PDF that depicts all the combinations (I THINK) and hopefully, it will make for an easier decision.

We'll have to decide on a standard size so I'm not making all different sized decals which is a lot more work. I liked the large one Ford came up with and when I get my rain tray, I'll compare its dimensions with the photos of the Ford snake decal and determine the height for ours.

Meanwhile, here's the PDF.
