Sperm whale penis leather like Dartz (crazy Russians) does for their 1mil+ SUV

OP lives in AZ. Some of the Mexican family run auto upholstery shops in AZ and especially CA can turn out FANTASTIC work for an insanely reasonable price. My old neighbor has custom interiors in all of his vehicles and has done some crazy things like white alligator skin (treated, not one of the 13 white alligators in existence) on a Suburban (he builds them and sells them and they for whatever reason sell FAST) for just over 3K (front seats and a single bench and inserts, and that's with exotic material, their work is better than OEM.
I like how this thread went from a $50,000 interior to sperm penis leather.

I'm also curious to know how much it would cost to have alcantara inserts into the recaro seats.

I personally dont like alcantara seat inserts. My buddy has alcantara seat inserts and on longer drives, when you get uncomfortable from sitting in one position, its a pain to try to move around and adjust seating position...If I tracked this car a great deal I would do it but for daily driving...No thanks

I know I will be doing the Alcantara steering wheel swap the moment one becomes available for the Mustang. Its so much nicer of a touch point.

This might help with the Seats. You can pretty much custom order what you want from Insert Color to Stitching and Piping. As for the Door Inserts, I would think a good local Upholstery Shop could handle the inserts for a Couple Hundred Bucks.

It depends on how nice you want to make it look. Custom interiors on the cheap can be done for a couple of thousand bucks, but if you want to make sure it looks really nice, you'll have to be budgeting at least $50K for a custom leather interior. And that can run up into the millions of dollars depending on your taste.

But you can play around with various possible choices here:

In Jimmys defense I've seen some outrageous interiors inside the custom hot rod cars that I feel could easily bump up to 50k. For just inserts 50k is ridiculous but I don't think Jimmy was framing his comments for just inserts..

For What It's Worth, both the Factory Seat Inserts and Door Inserts could probably be Spray Dyed by a Reputable Upholstery Shop to Match without actually having to be Re-Upholtered

I think the OE supplier is katskin? Their page says the range for two row seats is usually $2000-2300 -- but that's not really a quote. It looks like there's a range of options -- not sure if the local installer can also do the dash brows:

I thought he was joking (I still do). Leather seat inserts, done well, will be a couple thousand bucks at the very high end. Probably figure just under 1k, 2k for very nice work. Full seats, will be more for nice work. Entire interior.. you guessed it. More.

Millions for a full sperm whale penis and glazed with baby tear combo interior sounds about market.

No car has a mult-million dollar interior. I can say that confidently without any research. It would be difficult to spend that, sans diamonds and baby tears

I'll be happy if mine comes with an all black interior and cloth Recaros, let alone panda leather butt warmers.

It's that butt warmers made of panda leather or is that leather butt warmers designed to serve panda posterior? Either way...count me in!

You are high if you think it costs $50k for a nice custom leather interior, maybe on a motor home or a private jet but for a car?

C'mon man think about it, you ever watch West Coast Customs/Counting Cars or anything that involves custom work? Maybe $50k if you are putting in TV's, 50 speakers, a gold steering wheel, and carpet made from the fur of an extinct exotic animal.

He's asking about changing the inserts out...not whatever that 11 million crap you sent.
Agreed! My man is smoking that West Virginia meth with that answer.

You'd be wrong, although it's hideously ugly:

The piece Car and Driver had a while back about the difference in wood interiors in Bentley vs. Audi vs. VW has me kind of itching for a Bentley - style three inch thick wood dash with hand-matched veneers...
