I mean to a lot of people it's basically the same as throwing an M3 badge on a 328i (or in our case a 5.0 badge on an Ecoboost).

They're meant to cover up smaller brake calipers and give the illusion that someone spent the money on a BBK.
Understood, and I agree on your take. But all I want is touch of color to an all grey car. If I don't like them they come off.

The rear brakes are hideous on performance pack or non performance pack cars. Nothing wrong with dressing them up a bit. It’s your car and your taste.

That's correct. I had to use 3mm spacers as well for my MGP's on the front to clear the factory 20" foundry wheels.

Not the best paint job with G2 but at 150 MPH......who can tell.

Been almost 2 years now, but I do clean them when I wash the car.

Are you saying a Mustang ( '19 GT. stock 18" wheels) may need spacers?
Can't answer that for sure. I know I needed them for my factory 20" foundry wheels on my 15 GT. You're going to have to do a test fit to find out for sure. Take one of the front wheels off, install the MGP cover and put your wheel back on to see if it's going to have a clearance issue. If it does, then get the 3mm spacers or whatever spacers you want.
