Rattle coming from exhaust flex pipe

Hey everybody, so I recently installed a Steeda H pipe on my '15 GT to pair up with my Roush axle back. Other than the set-up being a bit louder then I thought it was going to be, I like it lol. One issue I am having though, is a really annoying rattle that sounds like it is coming from under the car right around 4-5k rpm. I got under the car this morning trying to diagnose the issue and found that when I would bang on the passenger side cat, the flex pipe would rattle really bad. I think that's the culprit! Has anybody had to repair a flex pipe before? If so, where is a good place to buy one, or should I just take it to a muffler shop and they would supply the flex pipe? Thanks for any advice, Cal.

I have a Steeda h-pipe on my 17. A couple of months after install it started to rattle under certain rpms. Looked underneath to find the Steeda emblem between the pipes had a cracked weld. Had it rewelded with a heavier bead. Been good ever since.

Mine does it too after h-pipe install. I can only hear It during cold start. When I had it checked, it was in the same area. Flex pipe.

Mine is fine until I get about halfway through the rpm range where it makes an annoying rattle sound that I can't stand. I'm going to try clamping a couple of gear clamps on the flex pipe to see if it will stop the rattle to make sure that is the source and I will go from there.

No, it didn't help it any. I haven't had the time to take it to a muffler shop yet, but I think I am just going to have a new flex pipe welded in when I get a chance.

Just make sure it's the flex pipe first. I've never heard of one making a rattling noise. I'd thoroughly check the Steeda pipe first; that sounds a lot more plausible IMO. Good luck.

checked the h-pipe and for sure it’s coming from the flex.
