Random Noises?

Sitting in my garage, I haven’t driven since yesterday. Anybody else notice random solenoid/relay noises? Engaging/disengage type sound? Today I heard a slight tone afterwards.

dude, our explorer does the same thing. i'll just walk by it after it being parked a while and hear it do something. i suspect the moostang will have the same wizardry happening when it shows up.

I know some of the different control modules on newer cars take a while to completely shutdown after you turn the vehicle off. Maybe if it detects the proximity key it turns certain modules on???

Yes, I get the same noises as well.

Fuel priming is one reason for the noises. I and others also believe it is the car performing self checks.

Other than the typical noises of relays when you open the door. I was checking the oil and emptying the catch can yesterday and it happened several times.

And if you don't go near it for 2 weeks it goes into a battery saving mode on your application.

Thanks! My 2016 GT made a few sounds, but this one….must be a lot more relays / solenoid added since then. No wonder why the car goes absurd with low voltage.

I actually had mine at the dealership last Friday because I can literally top off the battery with a trickle charger, drive it for almost 2 hours a couple of days later, and yet I'm still getting woke up at 4am from the app telling me it is going into battery saving mode the day after I drive it.
