Does anyone disable 5he radiator shutter when they race?

Just saw this on my wife’s car. When did they start putting this on the car? What controls it?

Just saw this on my wife’s car. When did they start putting this on the car? What controls it?

I was told you can turn it off with a tune. We just unplugged it and it failed open. Not sure how much of a difference it made for cooling.
