Just want to vent a little on a recent purchase of a replacement wheel for my car. I was forced to replace one because of a recent accident (motorcycle hit it). The wheels were purchased approx. a month apart but I'm being told that they are the same wheel (Color/finish). See photo, you tell me if they are the same. They as in racestar, will not take the wheel back and will not exchange the wheel to hopefully match the other three. Any suggestions on what I should do next, called shop and they contacted racestar and no luck. The shop bought the wheel mounted it for me and I picked it up and noticed its not the same finish at all. Now since its been mounted they dont want to help a customer out (Racestar and bgracing). #bgracing #bgracingparts #racestarindustries

Hard to tell without lighting being the same. Most of the Racestars front to back look a little different since the rear wheel is more inset.

-AgentS550--Not sure how the lighting isn't the same...the sun is over the top of the car. Believe me they are totally different one is black and the front is like a black chrome.

- boosted4life--Yea well I hope others see this. I don't recommend racestars, one for this and also trying to talk to them they are just rude and like you said they act like its not there problem. Also noticed they are MADE IN CHINA, wish I would of known that.

Yup that's crazy...Well some good news, I talked to Mike finally at Racestar and he's going to see what he can do to make it right. I'm hoping he comes thru, because I'm not willing to drive the car because they are that different.

Good point. I'm dumb. Crazy thing is I think this is more common than not, and that was why my initial inclination was to think its not that different. I see how the back is legit black and the front is black chrome. Weird

Might be using two different finishers for the front vs. rear wheels. Front looks more like a gun-metal vs. black. That's clearly different. If I had a set of drag wheels, I wouldn't care if they were hot pink... but that's just me, haha.

Keep calling, keep emailing. They sent me one with the wrong bolt pattern. I mounted the tire and tried to put it on the car, obviously it didn't work. They ended up exchanging after they got sick of me being more persistent than they were stubborn.

Wait... they screwed up and gave you a hard time for exchanging the rim? Should you be expected to check bolt pattern when you ordered a certain wheel? This company sounds terrible...

Correct, and yes. They're pretty b-league.

Yea...that's crazy about the bolt pattern. My other front matched perfectly. The bad thing also is the center cap which match all three black wheels is obviously darker and sticks out like a sore thumb on the front (black chrome) wheel. Thanks for the info and yes after paying good money I will continue to call and email. Thanks at least they made it right in the end for you.

I just recently went through this same issue with the finish. The wheels were actually manufactured several months apart according to the inspection sticker dates. However they got me taken care of and swapped out the older wheel almost immediately!

I prefer the color of the front. The back looks black.

Now with that picture you have presented to the forum, the finish on both wheels [severe sarcasm on]clearly match[/severe sarcasm off]

Is that Company kidding that they think there's no difference in the finish??? I'd be embarrassed as a Company to even accept such a final product from an offshore manufacturing plant and THEN turn around and sell it to Customers as if nothing is wrong??? Really???

-Killjoy---Wow yours are just as bad if not worse than mine are as far as the color/finish. But its looks to me they have two different finishes. I did some research on there site and noticed they offer a black chrome just not in the 5 star wheel. I wonder if the China plant that makes the wheel messes up once and while and puts a few in the wrong line and they come out black chrome instead of black (Dark Star)

-CE--I will admit I like the dark chrome as well, my other three are all black, just would like all four the same.
