So the 2018 intake only has 3 connections on the tube whereas the 15 has 4 connections. what is the 4th line and where does it go? the car is getting tuned by lund so im sure they know what it is but its already past 5 there and im sure they have gone home for the day.

Hmm, can't remember, threw all that shit away. I think that one is for the imrc controls iirc

No. Bone stock other than 2018 intake. Stock 15 manifold
Did you lock out the runner control solenoids on the manifold (IMRCs)?

Are you sure? Lund typically does that. If you have them active, you need to feed the solenoid from the manifold or the CAI port, and the brake booster from the manifold. If your car is an auto, you need to retain the aspirator which is a dual feed to the booster for when you're parked in D.

The 2015 manifold never came off the car. All I’m doing is essentially swapping CAI

Disregard all of the above. It's been a long week and only Monday.

You'll want to try to tee it, or better yet, use that portion of the 2015 intake. The performance gain of the 18 is the lid and MAF tube.

:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:yeah so scratch all of the above ideas.:curse::curse::curse::curse:

the extra port on the 15 intake tube is for imrc. you have to have it unless you want to lock out imrc on the 15 intake manifold. at that point, just get an 18 manifold as it will flow better.

you cant just use the 18 lid, it is too big for the 15 intake tube.

you CAN use the 18 airbox and bumper connector as it fits just fine on the 15 with no obstructions. that does get rid of one silencer so you might get better flow or more sound.

after talking with some engineers at work, drilling an extra vaccum port hole on the 18 intake tube is not advised. you could heat up a socket or something and punch a hole in it, epoxy a spare ford vaccum connector on there and maybe it will work. an air leak in the system after the maf is a bad idea though.

so im going to stick with the 18 airbox and bumper connector, 15 intake lid/maf housing, and 15 intake tube. we will see how it is after that.

No gains from that honestly.
