5th tops out at 180 mph in the GT350. The GT350R is 173mph.

526hp with the GT350's frontal area and drag is going to have trouble pulling above 180 with any gearing. Smaller front tires, lower downforce, and perfect gearing *might* get you a few more MPH. Might. even the 180mph is so far theoretical, with only the R's 173mph supposedly verified.

Sounds like it's time to get the gps and GoPro out this weekend.. Hold that thought...

You say potato, I say potato. Happy to have a gear that drops revs way down. If you don't like it, stay in 5th the whole time?

I like it fine for cruising, I just want to push the top end and would like it to drop into the middle of the power..

Its about the mentality and work ethic.
This is the kind of thing an uneducated person would say, or an inexperienced person, or a person driven by ideology. Which are you, or perhaps all three? Or maybe you just feel entitled enough to paint working people with a broad negative brush?

I am not going to say a word about 350 or R that will be negative until the day I own one. I promise.

I must have got really lucky, my 15 GT/PP and my 16 350 fit and Finnish are almost perfect. My 15 had just a slight miss alignment on corner of front bumper cover that every couple days I just push it in with my thumb, and fixed till next wash lol. My 16 350 has a small gap on rear cover at both corners by taillights, but it's very small and even on both sides, looks normal so not even going to mess it.
With that said my wife drives a , going to leave out brand, but British SUV and you can honestly compare exterior panel fit and finish to my mustangs, and the SUV was $30k more than my 350. So I'm very happy with the men and women's work ethic and pride at the Flatrock plant. Great job guys!

No one was more worried than me re panel fit, paint boogers and dirt. Overall, I'm very pleased with my R. I can rattle off the few things that bother me - likely the same things people have been discussing.

1 - A little heavy on the orange peel. It's white, so a little less noticeable.
2 - the gaps at both edges of the rear bumper cover
3 - that same bumper cover ^ edges are painted a little rough and there's a smidge of dirt in the paint, in the crevice.

Even though it is OK for mine - the door is SO close to the fender when you open it - I can see how some people could get a little rubbing there. I'm talking .05

You just described my white 350 track pack lol.

My door sticker could stand some adjustment.
