Quick E85 question

If Lund did do that tune he was maxing out the injector duty cycle. Not a smart thing to do.

Stock on 93 the injectors are running at 70%, E85 alone puts them around 85.

Adding headers would add another 5% or so.

I'm not a fan of Lund but I cannot see him running injectors at 90% or above.

So I’m a liar? Trust me Lund knows more about these cars than you do! If there was any danger of operating the car with the mods mentioned. Dakota would have told me.

Don’t need them either. Lund tuned my 15. The car had headers, cai intake and e85 tune on the stock injectors.

They also say you can't run E85 on a boosted car without a full fuel system. Truth is you can safely do it with just 95lbs, dw400, and bap. That Lund youtube guy has a video detailing why they don't. But, I know several guys killing it on just that combo.

They don’t say you can’t. They just say their not comfortable writing a tune for it. People say a lot of things on the interwebs. The problem with that is most of what is said is just parroted second hand information. With no actual first hand knowledge. Lund is one of the premier coyote tuners in the country. The data logs I sent them don’t lie. I tend to trust their knowledge over some random forum guy. I kept the car they tuned for 5 years and made 200 na passes & over 100 boosted passes into the nines without a single hickup. I’d say the proof is in the pudding.

I did not call you a liar, just questioned Lund. I thought they stayed on the safe side of things.

The injector manufactures say not to run them over 80% duty cycle. E85 with no mods puts them there on the 2nd gen, probably 1st also.

Easy answer there, the reduced fuel mileage would reduce it's overall CAFE mpg and put the Mustang in Gas Guzzler Tax territory ...

Wrong guy. I'm agreeing with you. But... yes Roush tune is very safe but txripper will hook you (Roush owners) up for free. he has a guy running 60-130 6.18sec and 10.8 standing 1/4 on the street. So I would most likely hit him up when I go custom.
