Question on purchasing used 2018 with modification

I found this used 2018 GT350 in the specs I want. The only issue I see is that the cold air intake has been swapped out with the model shown in this picture. Don't understand why anyone would want to mess with the stock parts... The air filter casement itself looks wonky and does not seal properly to the hood. I asked the dealership what it would cost to put a stock air intake back in and they said $700. The original owner apparently didn't have the insight to keep the stock unit.
Is this something I should be concerned about? I asked them if they would switch it back to stock as part of the deal and they said no.... I did have their ford tech's confirm that there was no tune done to the engine...

No big deal.. if you want a factory piece .. try eBay , Copart, LKQ.. etc.. most aftermarket companies sell the factory unit for about $500

if no tune, then i'd get it, sell the k&n and buy a new/used oem intake to put it back to stock... fine to drive as-is till you find a deal on an intake...

Thanks... what is the reasoning/advantage behind putting in the K&N in the first place?

without a tune, you gain nothing though, and guessing it would be minimal on the 350 anyway...

ok, thanks a lot for both of your input!..I understand some guys wanting to swap the filter, but the OEM intake fits with the design of the hood and air flow... and it looks better in my opinion.

Yeah, I am not digging this dealership at all.... they are holding firm on the price and not giving me a really reasonable price on my trade...
They refuse to do anything about the cold air intake or a discount for that as well. The windows are tinted really dark, so I will have to pull that too as WI is 50% and they don't mess around...
The car only has 800 miles on it, so I think they think it is "NEW" I have seen 2018's with 1500k miles going for 52,900 .... they have to start moving these due to the 2019's and GT500 coming out... Maybe I will go back to looking at a 2017 with a few more miles...

I would love to purchase from a forum member if possible... I would have to sell my vert outright to do that though... maybe I will check out some dealerships that are willing to buy it direct or post it on the forum here.. The season is almost upon us...
