I must be getting tired, and was wondering, what exactly does the fuel Pump assembly bottom fuel line do?.

That's what I was thinking, but how is my question, draw fuel from the passenger side into the fuel hat/bucket assembly. No big deal, was just wondering. Thanks

That hose I believe goes to a transfer pump on the passenger side of the tank.

And that was another thing which crossed my mind. I was wondering if the sender unit on the passenger side was also a pump which pumps fuel to the fuel hat/bucket assembly. It's just I couldn't find where it states or shows that. I will try to find my helms manual CD. Or just ask the Ford mechanic.

There’s no pump on the passengers side of the saddle tank. It’s just a line that pulls fuel over using the venturi/siphon.

Here is the the top of the transfer pump on the passenger side of the tank. So you can get a visual.

So is it an actual pump which tranfers fuel to the drivers side fuel pump hat/bucket assembly? And not a crossfeed created by a venturi vacuum?.
Also, when people install a return style fuel system and they use a fuel hat assembly which does not have the bucket, do they just cap that line coming from the passenger side cross feed pump?
I really need to find my Helms CD.

I believe so. It has a wiring harness that goes to it as well as what looks to be a fuel line, though I believe that line is actually a vent line that goes to the evap system. There also is a 4 wire connector, I would think that there is more going on than just a fuel level sending unit, but I could be wrong.

OK, I'm heading down to my Ford dealer to talk with a mechanic and get a copy of the unit. I'm going to just buy another Helms manual CD. They are just to valuable for the work I am doing. Thanks

do they just cap that line coming from the passenger side cross feed pump?
The open bottom hanger type pump assemblies still use the venturi system to suck fuel from the passenger side, via the OEM cross over tube. There is no pump on the passenger side, just a sending unit and the pickup for the venturi.

That pretty much explains my question. Thanks everyone for your help.
