Those of you guys running G-Loc pads out there, I got a question for you guys.

My car is a 2017 5.0 non PP and recently did new front/rear rotors with R10/R8 pads.

After my track event, I noticed that under normal low-speed driving (with NO brake pedal input), the car makes a squealing sound. Under highway driving, I do not notice it.

Tonight, after some extended driving, I noticed the squealing under normal low speed driving (with NO brake pedal input) got even worse. I know under braking, the pads squeal which is normal. But I find the excessive squealing sound under normal driving with no brake input hard to believe to be normal.

Are those of you guys with my same set up, the R10/R8 set up or other G-Loc pads experiencing this as well?

It is 100% normal for all the noise even with no input. I run R12 front, R10 rears. Sometimes I get lazy and don't change back to street pads after track days...when I don't, the neighbors hate me as it gets every dog in the neighborhood stirred up and barking anytime I drive by lol

Totally normal. I found that as long as I take out and clean pads and calipers from brake dust after a track event, the amount of squealing is significantly reduced. Running R10/R8, don't even have a set of street pads yet.

Thank you for sharing your experiences about the pads. Good to know it is normal and I didn't break something while tracking the car haha.

Got me wondering, I also noticed a new noise after switching to these pads.

While I am reversing my car and turning the wheel, it creates a clunk sound. When I refer to turning the wheel, I mean specifically only referring to turning the wheel when I reverse the car to straighten out the car. If go forward again then put it in reverse and turn steering wheel, I can hear the clunk again. The clunk noise is repeatable with the same motion.
If I am at a light and turning the wheel, no clunk sound.

Just wondering if you guys also experience this and if it is normal? I started noticing this PRIOR to my track event.

Would you happen to know if this additional noise I am hearing is normal too?

If I am at a light, from dead stop and turning the wheel or driving the car while turning full and making U-turns, no clunk sound.

Does your car make this noise too when you run the pads?
I started noticing this PRIOR to my track event.

no, I don't have anythinglile what you describe. If it's still on warranty, take it to a dealer and have it checked.
