To all you veterans out there what mods (other than power adders) have you seen the most value in at the strip?

I'm fairly new to the game and I'm stuck in the mid 10s and looking to see what my next move is, i'm trying to be as efficient as possible so figure I would through a thread out there since this is where most of my information comes from.
It's worth noting that I have some traction issues when shifting from 1st to 2nd.

Here's what I have so far on my 2016 gt premium:
Procharger stage 2 D1SC head unit 4.75 pulley
Lund tune E85
ID1050x injectors
Sai Li Twin Pump Fuel System Return Style (no bap)
Rousch Long tube 1-7/8" headers true dual 3" with H pipe
3.55 gears
BMR cradle lockout
BMR LCA bearings
BMR adjustable rear toe links
BMR verticle toe links
Brembo front breaks
Eibach Lowering springs
Foregestar wheels with 305 NT05Rs

I'll take whatever advice you can throw my way

Post your best slip. I want to see your 60ft, 330, 660, and 1320. That may help get the conversation going

Auto or stick?

I would change the tires going with the Micky Thompson Street ET Drag Radial these will help you with the 1st to 2nd hook up. Adjustable rear-shocks will also help. Light weight front-runners and carbon-fiber drive shaft for less rotating-mass will shave a tenth or two.

I'll hunt some down for you. I have a stack somewhere lol

It's auto. I have koni adjustable shocks and normally run with them maxed.
Heard good things about the MTs. Probably going to switch to them this summer

Yes, the MT's will help. Also give VP C-85 a try this will give you a little more punch, since you are E85.

Do you mean maxed as in full hard? This could definitely affect your traction. Have you tested other settings while at the track? My last Mustang had adjustable shocks and struts and I found about middle setting in the rear with half a turn suffer on the passenger side to net the best result. For front, you want to lighten it up to allow for weight transfer but not too much where the front end is bouncing after launch or 1-2 shift.

From there, I agree with getting a good drag radial or slick for the back. If you end up getting skinnies for the front, go with bias ply all around as the tires will absorb some of the shock load on launch and in 1-2 shift. Once you have traction, get a Circle D torque converter and really improve the 60' time.

Converter is huge on a centri car. I run a 4c left over from when the car was N/A. A 2/3B would likely be the recommendation if you talk to a tuner or CircleD.

The Circle D converter needs attention. Buddy was able to make 4 passes on it before it went bad, he is back on the stock converter. Seems this converter has issues (Hit or Miss) and cost is $$, hopefully they can improve it before I would shell out $$ money for it.

Is there another company that makes one?

What did Circle D say/do about the failure?

Suncoast Performance has TCs for our cars but they are more expensive than Circle D. I had a Circle D on my S197 and it held up quite well.

OP has a 6r80, those converters are well sorted.

So how do you guys know what specs to go with on the torque converter? I'm tuned by Lund so is that something I would ask them based on what they see?

Best bet is to contact Circle D and discuss your current mod list and goals for the car. They can help with the rest.
