Just got my 17x7, 18x10 Forgestars. I intend to use these as a drag pack type set up. That will stay on the car for regular street duty also. These wheels are pretty sweet from a race prospective. They are very light. The 17s are 17pounds. The 18 inchers were 19 pounds. They are barrel forged. So they'll be stronger than a cheap racing style wheel. My wife likes big bling wheels. We had 20Ă—10 sve series 3 chrome wheels on the car. We broke one. And luckily for me. They dont make that size wheel anymore. The old wheels & tires were 60 pounds each for wheels and tires. The new set up is 37 front. 40 rear. That weight savings will offset most of the supercharger weight. Just thought id share for you guys that cant afford a set of dedicated drag wheels. Or your like me. And just old and dont want to swap tires anymore. Everytime you go racing.

I pretty much did the same. 17x4.5/17x10.5 for drag duty and swap the fronts to matching 18x8.5 for street. Its really a good option and I didn't want to be "another white mustang on Welds"

I would like to try the nitto nt555rs in the 18x315. I have been thinking about ditching the race stars and going with those in bronze.

I went with a 235 up front. Just so ill never have to change the fronts or backs again. It's all about easy of operation for me. Since I sold the race car.

What tire are you using for the rears to be 40lbs? I used 18x10 forgestars and they were ~51-52lbs with 285-40-18 MTs ET streets
Typo. I don't proof read or spell check anything on here. Obviously. That was supposed to read 50. I run Nitto 305 NTo5r's .

I had those once. They are the safest drag radial for the street. And will last the longest. But they sacrifice a litte grip at the strip. Compared to a MT or Nt05r.
