The OEM SS for the GT350 is 2018 and earlier.what would be the difference with the BMW spec tires up front? I just placed my order on Tirerack and chose the OEM listing for the 350. The rears are on back order, so won't get those until mid/late February...
thanks for the reply.. I am wondering if I should change my order for the fronts to the BMW spec? I'm waiting on the rears which are on back order. Wondering how much of a difference I am going to feel with the 2018 oem spec fronts on the 2019?The OEM SS for the GT350 is 2018 and earlier.
2019 & 2020 came with the SC2's as OEM - which were 104Y up front and 106Y in back.
I went with the BMW spec because the 104Y load rating mirrored what came on the 2019 as OEM - and that's where most of the weight is.
Usually a higher load rating results in a stiffer sidewall/less flex.
Hard to say. But we do know there were a BUNCH of changes to the 2019 based on the Cup2's. Braking and suspension come immediately to mind. If you don't drive it right to the edge you might never notice...thanks for the reply.. I am wondering if I should change my order for the fronts to the BMW spec? thanks for the video. I called both Ford Performance and Tire Rack and they both said I should have no problems putting the 2018 OEM spec MPSS on the 2019. The only noticeable difference would be if I am driving on the high end of the spectrum on track... and trust me.. that will not be me... LOLHard to say. I thought this video was very informative from a technical viewpoint:
