Drivers side gone again, have they fixed the problem or are they still sending out shape shifters.
It may be too early to tell for sure but my driver's side was replaced with one of the new plastic template lights 3 months ago & all seems well so far.

Having had my drivers side puddle lamp replaced, I noticed it is at a bit of a funny angle. I seem to remember someone else having this problem?
I got a wonky replacement.

Figure I'll just wait until it fails again.

I'm thinking it is either a dodgy batch (as the angle of the gobo can't be adjusted)

OR

Mirror housing is at a slightly different angle between driver and passenger, and that dealership have ordered in parts for a LHD model!
Had both of mine replaced and one of them was wonky, think it's standard on the replacement as I checked a couple of there new cars and they had the same problem

I had 2 of these wonky ones. Told my dealer each time that it's wonky and I wanted a straight one - they sent it in the post and all is well now :) still got the wonky ones in case the image breaks up.

It's not wonky, it's drift aligned.

I think I'm slowly getting the same sick puddle lights as last year... my drivers side slowly starts to get out of shape and getting freckles again... my guess last year was that they don't like freezing temperatures... and yet again after a couple day's of frost here they go down again...

Mine crapped out last week on drivers side as well. The dealer mentioned it was the first time he had seen it on a Mustang but that he also saw this same issue on a Lincoln. So it's not isolated.

Do both puddle lights have the Mustang running forward or should they both run to the left like the grille? Just askin?

I just happened across a thread in the US section where a guy is complaining that one of his lights is at the wrong angle.

He's been told that he's fitted the non-BLIS lights to his BLIS equipped mirrors and therefore needs to get the correct ones in order to straighten out the horse.

Am I just being paranoid in thinking Ford have fucked up and have a load of the BLIS puddle lights sitting around in the UK and that's why all our replacements are pissed?

But the BLIS replacements are a lot dearer than the ordinary mirrors. So I very much doubt that Ford, Unless they never sold as many systems as they had planned for and have loads of lights they can take from the unsold sets?
I know before my dealer got me the part in, I was looking at how much it would cost just out of interest, and they were around $40 more than the non BLIS mirror. When they replaced mine, they got the right ones, if you look at the parts diagram they look to be a bigger size and that's why they are way more expensive
But why did he pay for the light? if it's under warranty it should be covered. I mean my car is from over the Pond and I never got charged, and it's not even a Ford dealer
If you have your serial number of the light, was on the bag, I can check as I know my serial numbers

Both replaced at the same time last year, I think it won't last that much longer before my passenger side will crap out completely...
The first ones crapped out after 6 months, the new ones after 8 months... Will see how long it takes before the new ones arrive again and how long they last...

I'm curious if there's a 2 year warranty on replacement parts though..
