Just picked up a VM from the dealership. Part being ordered. You would think they would have ordered a bunch! But no, that would be too easy!

They've taken the car off you... Whilst a part is being ordered? Surely it's a 'Oh you see you've c0cked up, bring it back when we have the part? I wouldn't leave mine alone with them lmao!

I'm guessing its a Voice Mail been picked up, rather than a Vauxhall Mokka... ;)

Haha yes, voice mail...I think I would feel liked I cheated on my Mustang if I ever drove anything that wasn't a Ford!

My light looked like a pony with a large box on its back - the dealer fixed it today by replacing the relevant bits, so here's hoping it stays fixed.

Good to hear! Did yours line up ok? Look at my photo a bit further back...little wonky.

Got an email back from the sales manager yesterday to confirm the part has been ordered. I did ask as well if they could ship me the part considering a 5 minute job - 80 mile round trip and probably half a day for me! Will post up what they say about that

Bloke in the US section, Voodoo i think his name is has sold loads in all colours, I bought Red cost me $10 with the postage and that included 3 sets and also black squares for the 5.0 badge if i decide to go that route
even comes with written instructions

These have been mentioned before and the general consensus was no.

Ford are apparently aware of this problem and will be coming out with a revised part. When is a different matter though.

Yes, it seems ok, but I haven't stared at it too critically, I was just pleased they fixed it.

Interesting development...from my emails to dealer (Hartwell Ford, Kidlington)

My email:
"Cheeky question - don't suppose there is any chance you can ship the part directly to me to save me coming into the dealership? Happy to fit it myself. I'm sure you can appreciate it's a bit of a hassle for a 5 minute job (I believe it justs clips out/clips in). It's an 80 mile round trip for me & half a day gone if I have to take time off work...

Understand if that's a no no but wanted to ask!"

General Manager, reply:
"Hi Kristian,

It will be no problem to post the puddle lamp out to you, hopefully a new lamp should fix the problem, but please feel free if you have any issues to get in touch. I will make sure Josh let’s you know when he posts it."

Now bear in mind this is Hartwell so their rules may differ to other Ford Stores but still, I'm pleased that they are seeing sense! Will give me a chance to have a proper look at a "faulty" one too and answer any questions anyone has. Will keep you posted.

Mine's due to go back to the dealer this coming Tuesday for the same issue.
Did they indicate to you what they thought the cause was and how long did it take them to fix it?

My puddle lamp also went wonky , my dealer sent me out a replacement and I fitted it , it took longer to unpack than fit , it takes under a minute to fit.
