can you guys please take a picture of what the charge pipe looks like when its tightened? car is in shop with other work being done to it for awhile so i cant do that. I know it sounds silly but it could be a great way to compare to the picture i posted previously with the loose pipe.. thanks.

Dunno how any of you are seeing the ic from up top...I pulled off the plastic cover over the radiator and I can't see jack in there. Im guessing you have to pull off the front end and the plastic underneath to get to the clamps.

I checked all the clamps. they are all facing up. My guess is that the dealership tighten them up when I bought the car.

My upper clamps were facing up, but the lower clamps were facing down! There sure is a lot of fasteners on that lower face plate!

Another bump for a good PSA... I was under the hood a bit today and noticed one of my hoses about to pop-off. One I had not tightened previously. Check your clamps people :)

Has anyone had to tighten the clamps again after tightening them once? Just curious if the clamps are working loose. I checked mine once and they were fine.

I had my mechanic check all of the hose clamps on my EB...no loose ones. But he mentioned that they should be checked again this fall and that if any were loose, they can be replaced by clamps that won't loosen up.

Sorry to revive an old thread but just wanted to remind everyone to check their clamps again now that it's cold. Had my dealership tighten them earlier this year and just checked them today and the hot side of the intercooler was loose again. They must work themselves loose over time or as it gets colder.

Ahhhhh ;).

I recommend everyone replacing them with T-bolt clamps. I built a kit for you EBM owners when I was with MAP, it is probably still on their site.
