So climbing into the car today the key fob turned just right so that it tried to lock the car with me in it. I pulled it out of my pocket (never take it out, I like the functionality) and really looked at it for the first time. While the buttons aren't raised, they are level with the surface of the transponder and not recessed like my previous Ford keys. Meaning it may be more likely to get a button pressed accidentally in my pocket.

Suggestions for a solution? A slip cover for the transponder? I certainly don't want to set off the panic button accidentally.

I have been looking at these, Rob. My only issue is that I don't have remote start due to the manual trans. I'm still searching for one with that button set. Although this may still work- I'm not totally sure. They do have different colors, too.

When my Keyfob presses against another key on the ring or even something small in my pocket, it has set off the panic alarm many times. I had hoped that Ford would have made the panic button recessed. I'm also looking for a cover that would prevent my accidental activation of the panic alarm.

These make a lot of rattling noise in your pocket too...so I wrapped some blue painters tape around it. Looks bad but it's protected and doesn't rattle anymore. I know where the buttons are so don't care I can't see them.
