Projected Door mirror Pony image problem

Does anyone know what causes this problem with the projected Pony, mine now after only 2 months looks like a pregnant Armadillo

The dealers change them under warranty but they are such a problem you'd think ford would either re engineer them or abandon them altogether

mine has been having problems like this on both sides too, not pregnant yet but spots of light everywhere around the pony.

cover up the worthless lights with electrical tape. Fixed.

On a more serious note, they're kinda fragile. You can put a piece of transparent film over it (they sell colored ones, or you can make your own for a lot cheaper) to prolong the life of it.
