cover up the worthless lights with electrical tape. Fixed.

On a more serious note, they're kinda fragile. You can put a piece of transparent film over it (they sell colored ones, or you can make your own for a lot cheaper) to prolong the life of it.
But what causes the problems it seems to be water tight

Does anyone know what causes this problem with the projected Pony, mine now after only 2 months looks like a pregnant Armadillo

The dealers change them under warranty but they are such a problem you'd think ford would either re engineer them or abandon them altogether
The S550 gained SO much weight even the mirrors got heavier, along with the sleek pony of yester year !!!!!!!!!!!!

On a very serious note this is truly NOT funny,to see so MANY Q/C issues on a name such as Ford Mustang, the S550 reminds me of the Ford Edsel, what a disaster that was!

Bearing in mind the car is only 2 months old, it's happened gradually

A couple months ago on my car both sides the main clip broke, and we're dangling from the hole. I unplugged both of them. Still have not took the car in to get it fixed.

I'm really curious why I don't see any DIY'ers opening up the mirror body yet to get to the bottom of this.

When I went to the Mustang meet, a few of the S550 owners were moaning that the mirrors retain water, and it drips out and down onto the bodywork, leaving marks, so the water is near the light as it drips down. As the mirrors are so big, that could be the reason why its affecting so much more of Europe than the US cars?
For me with the small US mirrors will be interesting to see what happens, Please God they will be ok, I have bought some of the Red film from the bloke on here, so time will tell
