Hey guys just wanted to post my current project. It's a 2019 Mustang GT PP1 car that I turned into a Roush clone car. I've always had a hard time giving someone money for something I can do myself but love the Roush car look. The clone isn't perfect because obviously a lot of the badging is kept under lock and key so I worked with what I could get. All body paneling and moulding are official Roush parts with the exception of the PP wing and RTR spoiler(I liked the PP wing too much) .
The engine is equipped with a Roush Phase 2 supercharger kit. Car is now tuned by PBD and incorporates methanol injection. I installed DEI gold heat tape on the intake tube and header side of the intake box which did lower non-methanol IAT2 temps by about 10* after extensive hard driving.
Exhaust system is 1-7/8 header runners to 3" custom resonated collectors. The midpipe is a custom double X-Pipe with one of the X pipes being resonated. For the tailpipes I recycled the Roush resonators and exhaust tips for the look.
Suspension is Roush single adjustable coilovers with Ford Performance sway bars, toe links' and IRS knuckle bushings. I also have the Steeda front lower cross brace to help with the loss of the strut tower brace.
I named the project Cat Slayer because of my license plate and I'm sure it'll beat a Hellcat at this point. I ended up getting the license plate I did because I get a simple pleasure out of the reaction I get when a dodge guy rolls up behind me. Nothing better than poking an egomaniac where it hurts.
Also, sorry if my Roush clone offends anyone. I just can't justify paying the money to someone to get an "official serial number" when I can build the car myself and get equal performance out of it. I believe as long as someone doesn't try to pass something off as official it's a "you do you, man" situation.
