The black looks ok too me,everone has different taste,the black paint chips off if your not real careful and then looks like crap,but im picky like that

This black finish is done by an OEM company that happens to also have blacked out engines. ;)

Bought as tough of a coating as you are going to get and made to withstand harsh chemicals and heat.

Parts get a special blasting done for prep,
Then chemical etch/prime process
Then coated via a computer process.

This isn't some cheap-o black paint.


NOTE: We literally ship every part halfway across the country and back to have this done. Since its the only OEM level supplier for that coating and application.

I do have an F-1C on that car... and have plans to turn it up more.
However, I am elbows deep in my Coyote race car build.
Soooooo, the RatRod is just sitting in storage collecting dust now.

They make a very nice unit,

The car is currently in "chassis jail" so really until its back in my hands, it will be hard to have a date of when it will be completed.
