Procharger compressor surge?

My cars been doing this for a while now. I recently dropped to a 4.25 pulley on my stg2 d1x setup, but it was doing it on the previous pulley as well. Having been around a number of turbo cars it sounds a lot like compressor surge. It’s hard to hear in the video but it’s there. I’m wondering if this is normal or is it possibly belt slip. I’m also wondering in the back of my head if it has anything to do with the fact that I still am running the imrc’s.

Just sounds like the blow off valve opening to me.

Just sounds like the blow off valve opening to me.
I’m still in the throttle when it occurs so I hope it’s not the bov opening. It’s probably nothing, and the car does run great, just thought the ProCharger community could shed some light on this.

The boost gauge abruptly goes to 0 then vacuum which indicates you let off. Youre saying you were still in the throttle at that time?

Na, most likely a leak between blower outlet and TB or pressure is forcing open the BOV/bypass somehow.

Running the ProCharger red valve. Also everything is being logged kr is always in a negative value. The noise definitely occurs when I’m in the throttle. The video may not reflect that, but that is the case. I was kind of thinking maybe it’s a boost leak. Guess I will have to smoke it when I get the time. Also probably going to eliminate the imrc’s just to rule out the possibility of them closing under load.

Check all vacuum lines? Intake manifold bolted down properly?

Spring preload set properly on red valve?
Wasn’t aware there was an adjustment for preload. I’ll check into that as well as any possible boost/vacuum leaks

Did that take care of the problem? I'm trying to get all the information I can about prochargers.
