Procharger Bypass valve location

What is everyone’s opinion on the location for prochargers race valve? Is the intercooler mounted location better than the 444 tube mount?

Technically it doesn't really matter much as long as its there. Honestly folks like to argue about pre intercooler and post, and even that is a drop in the bucket.

The only thing that honestly matters is...

1) it works
2) its far away from the MAF

I can attest to Procharger Techs response. It CANT be in the drivers IC tank IF your maf is in the intercooler tank (passenger side). I did this and the car would not run....at all. I switched to the GT350 charge tube and it ran perfectly. In fact, it ran better than it ever did before. The GT350 MAF tube solves all of the issues of BOV placement and yields improved drivability.

A BOV or bypass can absolutely be put in the driver side tank. It may require a tuning edit, but so does the gt350 tube.

Interesting. Mine wouldn't even idle with the BOV in the driver side thank and the MAF in the passenger side tank. But yes, I had to re-tune after I added the GT350 tube. I was told by Procharger tech and Lund that I must run the GT350 tube if I had the BOV in the driver side tank.

Tuners made a big push to get folks to run the gt350 pipe. Likely a better tune and easier for them versus MAF in the IC tank.

Which is surprising to me since two years ago tons of people said not to switch to the gt350 tube, that it was a cleaner reading in the intercooler. Either way, I have the race valve and flange on the way. Its going on the end tank of my intercooler. Thank you all for the replies.

It can't if the MAF is in the intercooler. (massive swings in airflow when the valve opens and closes).

it is, because it also has an air straightener inside of it. :)
