The funniest new issue for mine is that I had noticed that the boot rear decklid panel was indeed scratching the paint on top of my bumper.

Except it was not misaligned - the boot and decklid are actually quite well aligned in my case.

What you will find tho, is that as you close the boot, even ever so softly, the decklid panel does come in contact with the bumper. I don't know what flexes so much, but it does.

The solution for me was some double sided 3M tape along the bottom of the decklid, but I left the red strip you're supposed to peel off on the other side.

It sticks real well because 3M, and forms a soft close surface as well as a soft edge when lifting up the boot.

Now it feels downright luxury :headbonk:

So was driving along in my auto GT in the rain today in snow/wet mode. Traffic was crawling and a lot of stop starting. The transmission when changing gear shuddered every now and then. This has never happened to me in normal mode. Something tells me snow/wet mode isn't set up for slow driving..

Does anyone else think the glass used on the front windshield is way more fragile than normal?

I've got more surface pits on mine in 3 months than I ever had on my 5 year old Falcon before it.

I already got quotes on a replacement because there's 2 relatively large pits right in my eyeline and genuine glass ain't cheap! Perhaps aftermarket glass may be more durable?

You think they may have been caused by stone chips? Drop in a photo so the residence quality controllers can have a gig at them.

The way some people are carrying on are as if Ford built this Mustang with a shelf life of 5 years :bolt:

Some (probably all) of them are definitely caused by stones because I saw/heard them happen. There's also a huge amount of micro pitting, which definitely didn't happen on either of my last 2 Falcons at the same rate. I'm driving the same roads I did back then, so I think it's more than just bad luck.

Could be the angle of the glass too - it may be more susceptible to damage rather than just ricocheting off.

Yep stones causing chips and cracks is just bad luck as you said and can happen if you maintain a good distance from the vehicle in front of you. I haven't seen any on mine yet but now that you have raised your concern I'll be interested to read if anyone else identifies similar issues.

I would try getting a windscreen expert in and polishing them out.

Anyone have this issue on the inside of the boot well on both sides?
Looks like something dripped there before painting.
The other side has cracked off and exposed the metal.

and now I've noticed by passenger's side one is going too (I wonder whether Titan Ford will accept my word for it this time and order a part in advance without having seen it???)
Titan Ford? not a chance!

They are now stocking the driver's side one - but not (yet) the passenger's side one
