Michelle's revisions never even allowed my car to run. Luckily, the base file she used was pretty solid. I'm sure that was created by Joe Goodnough. The person that did my install spoke to Mike, at the time the track was not open yet and was not able to make any full passes with the car. I originally started with Michelle who did not provide any help at all and just kept directing back to her videos. The tune that she provided did not work and she basically made me feel like Iām stupid . Low and behold it was not my fault , they sent me a tune for the year previous and believe it or not something is different from 2022-2023 at that time they scrambled to get some type of tune from HP tuners that would work. At the time I did the blower I believe I was the first 23 that they did. You would think maybe they would offer a little more assistance other than just passing the buck on to the owner and installer. Iām over their customer service and product , if I already wasnāt so invested and had more money I would pull it off and go to a different company that has better customer service. I never had this problem with procharger or any whipple products that Iāve owned they seem to be more gracious to help. Alright Iām done being a Karen
Yeah the Odin blower is a magnuson 2650 rotor pack and they are awesome. No issues with the kit. But VMPs tuning had went way down hill over the last few years. It always happens when the bread and butter tuner steps back to run the business and hires secretaryās to do all the tuning. Sounds like two other big name shops out thereā¦Itās a shame because the product itself seems pretty solid but the customer service on the tuning side is horrible.
There is a page on Facebook calledI have never posted on here but need a little help. I own a 2023 Mustang GT , 10spd auto, with a VMP LOKI kit that I put on when car had 300 miles on it. Car has a little over 2000 miles on it and has never been able to make a clean pass at the track. The car seems to fall on its face and go into some type of limp mode and feels real flat. Car is stock other then blower and cats still in place. I have reached out to VMP with little help from them, I do realize datalogging would probably help in figuring out what the problem is but I am new to this downloading tune and datalogging stuff and am a little intimidated by it. I came from LS stuff where its pretty much add what you want to the car and get it to a reputable tuner to take care of the rest. That seems like thats not the case with the coyotes and your on your own with mail order tuning and diagnostics. BTW I have 2 tunes both from VMP a 93 octane file and Boostane file, car seem to do the same thing with both tunes. Any help would be appreciated and if I'm missing any particulars, please call me out on them so I can answer whatever questions that may help fix the problem. Thanks in advance!!
How has this turned out for you?Just wanted to post an update . Michelle reached out from VMP and logged in with the Team view software while I was getting some data. Their is definitely an issue with the tune , it appears that the timing is dropping out half way though a wide open pull, which is what Iām feeling when it goes flat and falls on its face. Mike is supposed to send a new tune tomorrow that Iām going to try out that hopefully fixes the problem. I also wanted to take the time to post this update and say the customer service seems on point now, will post once I get updated tune tomorrow. Thanks to all of the members that chimed in to help.
Wengerd. Have him look at a log and see whatās going on. Heāll help you.My car has been at VMP 3 times for tune issues. Tuned on the Dyno when Odin kit was installed. If falls on itās face also. Surges and drives like garbage. It just sits in the garage because itās no fun. My driving style is all wrong I guess. Had it tuned by another big name tuner and it ran better when it would stay running. Dies at stop lights and has cold start issues with that tune. It was also tuned on-site on the Dyno. Spent 14 hours in the waiting room on 2 different days. Sometimes I wish I would have just left it N/A. It was a lot more fun and less frustrating. I guess I will spend 1000 more dollars getting it tuned again by someone else. VMP customer service is great and they have tried to make it right. I have come to the conclusion they arenāt capable of making the car drive properly. I do love their product though.
