Problem with tune? fuel? VMP LOKI kit

I have never posted on here but need a little help. I own a 2023 Mustang GT , 10spd auto, with a VMP LOKI kit that I put on when car had 300 miles on it. Car has a little over 2000 miles on it and has never been able to make a clean pass at the track. The car seems to fall on its face and go into some type of limp mode and feels real flat. Car is stock other then blower and cats still in place. I have reached out to VMP with little help from them, I do realize datalogging would probably help in figuring out what the problem is but I am new to this downloading tune and datalogging stuff and am a little intimidated by it. I came from LS stuff where its pretty much add what you want to the car and get it to a reputable tuner to take care of the rest. That seems like thats not the case with the coyotes and your on your own with mail order tuning and diagnostics. BTW I have 2 tunes both from VMP a 93 octane file and Boostane file, car seem to do the same thing with both tunes. Any help would be appreciated and if I'm missing any particulars, please call me out on them so I can answer whatever questions that may help fix the problem. Thanks in advance!!

Wait, you’ve uploaded vmp’s base tune to the car, right? No matter what, you have to log it and send the file to your tuner. For all we know, traction control is the issue here. Log the run so the tuner can tell you for sure. Along with the info sent to you by your tuner, there are likely videos on YouTube waking you through this process with your particular device.

Hey Mike ,thanks for replying, yes base tune was loaded when blower was installed and yes it was logged on dyno , where Mike from VMP said everything looked okay. Obviously thats not the case here.

There are about 584629560385 reasons the pcm could cut throttle. You could try disabling AT and try that. Otherwise, without a good log there is absolutely no way of telling.

Thanks for replying , yes I did disable AT under the hood by the airbox. I realize i'm going to have do a crash course in logging , just thought maybe I was overlooking something or if someone else was having a similar problem.

Don’t forget that unless you have traction full off the ford ECU closes your throttle 30% and causes issues under boost - traction button up doe 8 seconds and that prevents the issue. Please note that it’s all on you to keep it planted - I have an RPG sleeved race motor and a Whipple - 1300 to the wheels - lots of trial and error and that was the obit workaround at 8800rpm shift points

Thanks for replying. I’m not well versed in this stuff but I unplugged the sensor by the air box under the hood that controls all of that and still having the issue.

Thanks for replying , glad they have your car running good. I’ve tried reaching out without any luck, all they want to do is email back and forth rather than picking up the phone and having a 10 minute conversation. The only time I heard from anybody was when I made a snarky comment on one of there FB post saying “I wish my car made that type of power” and immediately after that JD there pr mgr. reached out to me. Super nice guy but still didn’t get the help that I need.

I do the installation in october 2021 the name of the tuner is Mike Weedin I receive all the help I need by email,I receive the correction the next day! I Hope you will find the probeme whit VMP ..I think you have 6 month free to do révisions …

The person that did my install spoke to Mike, at the time the track was not open yet and was not able to make any full passes with the car. I originally started with Michelle who did not provide any help at all and just kept directing back to her videos. The tune that she provided did not work and she basically made me feel like I’m stupid . Low and behold it was not my fault , they sent me a tune for the year previous and believe it or not something is different from 2022-2023 at that time they scrambled to get some type of tune from HP tuners that would work. At the time I did the blower I believe I was the first 23 that they did. You would think maybe they would offer a little more assistance other than just passing the buck on to the owner and installer. I’m over their customer service and product , if I already wasn’t so invested and had more money I would pull it off and go to a different company that has better customer service. I never had this problem with procharger or any whipple products that I’ve owned they seem to be more gracious to help. Alright I’m done being a Karen

I add long tubs an 85mm throttle body and I had a bama tune, then I got it tuned by Rob shoemaker and it running like a total different car,so it might be your tuner
