Hi all,
I have a badly running and misfiring Mustang problem with the EML light flashing. When I removed the spark plugs ,all on the left-hand bank were black and oily whilst all on the right were a normal looking usage colour?
Could a catalytic converter be a cause ?
Does anyone have any other suggestions or recommendations, please?

Hi, I’ve not had a diagnostic yet as it’s not so easy to find someone in the UK with the right scanning equipment. After giving the car a good run, it appears now that it’s only number 8 cylinder that’s fouling the plug ? Further investigation needed !

Hiya,

Try GT101 in Colchester, Essex about an hour or so from you.
Cheers

Benno.

Okay thanks for that, I’m away now for a couple of weeks but will give them a try when I get back.

Cheers, Rob.

Depending on the model year, the intake manifold may also be the source of problem.
Not working flaps on one bank is a typical problem with 2015-2017 models.

Instead of info about some Puma, you should specify the model year in your profile. šŸ˜‰

...and get yourself ForScan for Android or Windows and a compatible OBD dongle of Amazon.

It's a Ford - really not difficult to find scanning equipment. A Ford dealer maybe?
