Problem with COBB APV3

On the second day with the Cobb tuner and I'm starting to get used to it. I realized today though that ever since I uploaded the tune, my remote engine start doesn't work. Anyone else have this problem? Or a solution for that matter?

Use the AP to read the codes to see if you have any codes, even if you don't have anything on the dash. If you do, your remote start won't work. Beyond that, the remote start system is controlled by the BCM and not the ECU.

Nope, no dice. I usually use it every morning, this is the first morning it hasn't worked and I've tried repeatedly throughout the day. I can't figure out what would be the problem.

My second day aswell with the AP and everything is working like a charm.. wonder what it would be. Hope you get it fixed.

Try reinstalling the tune and see if that works.

Try uninstalling the unit and see if it works. You may have some other issue and the AP was just a councidence.

My 3rd day and I'm having the same problem. now I can't remote start my car. My cel isn't on the cluster but I'm reading codes on my ap. Now I'm gonna try and uninstall and reinstall the tune. hmm

Interesting. Now we know it's not an isolated incident and there is likely some correlation between the tuner and the remote start function. Did you update your tuner to the latest map version 2.0.1 I believe it is? I wonder if it's only that version seeing as this appears to be a relatively new issue.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and what do you know it's back to normal. But I hope I don't have to keep doing this.. and I haven't updated my ap. I have a Mac and I was having trouble downloading the ap manager.. Guess I need help with that too.

When you say uninstall and reinstall. How did you go about it? And I ran the latest update and still had the problem so that doesn't appear to change anything.

Turn car to on, go on ap and select uninstall. It will basically put your car back to stock. After that I installed stage 3 91 tune again and it worked after that.
