So using the options pricing recently leaked, and estimating a 5% increase in the cost of the premium GT I think the car I want will have an MSRP of ~42k.

What would be the approximate invoice price, and more importantly, the approximate X-plan price?

Thanks!

Seriously I don't think the price will be that high. I'm sure the information will be available with plenty of time to make that choice. Plus when the Build and Price option become available on the Ford site you'll probably have enough times to give it a run through a few dozen times.

Plus the invoice vs MSRP may be different with the new car.

I really think that there will be almost no price difference between the 2013/14 and the 2015. The options are cheaper and you get more in the Premium package than before for about the same price for that package.

I agree. I think if there is an increase it will be less than 2%.

Send me your email and I'll send you a spreadsheet with price estimates I am using, based on the 2013 prices. I calculated a %difference between MSRP and invoice (with dealer holdback amount) to use until we get the actual prices. If you use X-plan, you can use that formula to calculate the invoice.

I think everyone of us (knowing full well that Ford execs are on here too) should answer the question "when will you be purchasing a 2015 Mustang" with the obligatory "TBD."

Tony, would you be able to share with all of us? Not sure if you can attach spreadsheets to a post but I'm sure many of us would like to see it.

Can someone comment on how different MSRPs are from invoice typically and in different situations? I don't have any point of reference to know how different they might be. Thanks!

Except that you can get '14s for around $5k below sticker right now. My guess is that you can get a '14 premium for what you will pay for a 15 base.

True, but you're getting a better car in the 2015. Of course, I was referring to it in a like-for-like manner, like when the 2014's first came out compared to when the 2015's first come out.
