I wonder how many people are going to bid on the car not actually knowing that it has a replacement engine. I feel like no one reads the description on these postings. Will be very interesting to see what she goes for.

I'd expect it to impact the price. If anyone interested in these cars has been paying attention, a bunch of them are changing hands early on - I'd be waiting it out for just the right car, if I was going to pay a premium.

But should the replacement engine affect the price? I mean, it’s not like the engine was rebuilt at Joe’s Discount Engine shop (apologies in advance to anyone named Joe, who owns a discount engine shop).

A known issue, replaced by Ford, and has warranty, sooo.… if anything, at least you have some piece of mind knowing and not wondering if/when the engine might give up the ghost.

Has anyone heard/seen/experienced consecutive engine failures (obviously on same car) related to Ford defect/build quality?

p.s. also does not flag on CarFox.

A few cars are on their third engine, so yes a few have done two engine replacements.

Well then, those cars should be about worthless now, they might as well give them away when they get tired of replacing engines
