Dashboard layout - 2/10
Are you fucking kidding me?
:barf:

You are so right Kristian, the guy is an idiot.

I think we could send the author some 2/10 dashboards so as he gets the message. The judging of Standard Spec 9/10 and Affordability 9/10 are way out of whack with that rating.

To start the ball rolling I will go with the MG3 - slogan "Fun on the Outside, Fun on the Inside" - no it isn't!

I think they meant 'funny' rather than 'fun' as in 'Funny - peculiar' or, if you prefer, 'shit'.

We could turn him and be in the national press. You could give him proper stats. You could even use the keyring... Bows and arrows against the lightning.

Read a review in 'Performance Ford' (first one I'd bought since about 1980!). According to them switching to sport mode adjusts the suspension. How so? I think they should know better.

If I gave him proper stats, along with the even more knowledge from other people on the forum his brain would explode, collective knowledge on here is incredible.
Hey leave my cool little keyring out of it! i've got plenty of other mods lined up :)

I dont want a reporter profiteering over reporting proper facts! That'd be bad journalism if they reported facts!

To be honest, they can all call it crap for all I care. And if that means no one buys one, I am fine with that too. We know what we have bought (or ordered) and I dont care what any uninformed idiot writes. But sometimes you do wonder if they even saw the car let alone sat in one, and I am sure some are written without it ever turning a wheel.

I say keep them rare, let the press say what ever they like

Agree, rarer the better, might effect resale value, but very few of us are looking at resale.

So one of my work mates was talking about my car today, nice and complimentary in fact but the he said it,

"Okay til you come to a corner I spose"

I said Tell you what, pick a corner, any corner you like, then follow me round it in your Astra and see if you can keep up"

Trouble is, people make up their minds before they know. The dick faced reviewer decided before he even got in the car that it would have a crap interior. He gets in a frigging 35k performance car and thinks it gonna have an interior of a car costing 20k more.

Twat faced dick head!

Dan it and there's me saying I dont care what people say!

stevec I get that from everyone 'Watch the corners' 'Wait till you go round a corner and into a lamppost' and my favourite 'Ive driven a mustang on forza their handling is sh1111t'
Previous gen mustangs, fair point, just requires a lot more care and attention, this one, still some C+A but not as much due to IRS and other tech advancements on the car. People will shout before they can talk. Regardless, every person who's joked, jibed have all come back around and then asked 'Can you take us for a ride in it'.

I wouldn't even say the interior in the mustang is bad in the slightest, yes it's not super premium leather with alcantara inserts etc, but the interior is good, compare it to any car of it's price range and it's interior is for the most part, leaps and bounds ahead of it. I think theissue with car reviewers is they're predominantly reviewing the car with a stigma that it's worth 70k+ (People IRL have asked why i'm forking 70-100k on a car, not realising it's costing me 30...)

As the author is a "contributing editor" I presume he is a freelancer, selling when he can... and I guess the person/press reviewer who had it before him had actually read the handbook a little, and set the gauge colour to green, and the steering to comfort.

To be honest, I don't know how many telegraph readers are in the target audience for a mustang, but if this is the standard of the reviews they do then I certainly won't be adding the telegraph to my list of "reviews to check before I buy a car"...

Does this kind of thing really matter, given that you still have a looong wait if you order one, so it is probably still "enthusiasts" who would do that? What is the typical lead time for BMW M something or other...?

You think it is a car just for Guardian and Daily Mail readers?

My favourite ridiculous line from the review was "Details such as the dials being backlit in a green that clashes with the rest of the interior lighting at night adds to the budget feel."...

Does he know he can change the colour...!?
