Prepping new mustang GT for winter

I talked to my friend who owns a tires shop locally, and he's recommending the Continental IceContact XTRM, which is a newer tire that competes again the Nokians and Michelin's....i might opt for that

shameless plug here but I do have a set of x ice 3 winter tires on a stock set of 2016 mustang wheels up for sale soon. They are 235/50/18 only 2 seasons on them.

nokian hakkapeliitta r3 is the best winter tire I've ran. I have had blizzaks and x-ice.

This is what I'm getting actually. Putting on my stock rims and that will be my dedicated snow setup.

Hi Dave,
I have a set of original 2018 PP1 wheels for sale. They are 19" x 9" in front and 19" x 9.5" in the rear. Asking $400 and I live near Hartford, CT so I could meet you half way if interested. Front wheels will accommodate 6 piston brakes if you ever want to get larger brakes.
As an alternative, I could provide 4 factory 19" x 9.5" wheels and a 5 mm spacer if you want to run a square setup. One 9.5" wheel has a scratch that can be touched up.
All the wheels have factory TPM stems.

Hey guys I’m new here , picking up my new mustang gt base tomorrow, I live about 20 minutes outside of Boston

Been driving in Boston winters for 6 years now with the GT and it's no issues as long as you have the right tire. You don't need 17" wheels, stick with OEM sized 18s and you will be fine.

I usually stick to Blizzaks from Bridgestone. But Michelin and Pirelli also make very good winter tires.

I use Michelin Xi3, I obtained it from 4wheelonline three years ago. I have no intention of replacing it yet because I am satisfied with the high traction it provides on snow and slush.
